Our client located in Ferntree Gully are seeking experienced Die-Setters / Machinery Operators to work on day, afternoon and night shift (not rotating). Day shift hours 7:00am to 3:06pm, Afternoon shift 3:00pm to 11:06pm Monday to Friday. Night shift hours are 11:00pm to 7:06am Sunday to Thursday

The ideal candidates will have solid operating and trouble shooting experience with Aoki injection stretch blow moulders, Nissei injection moulders and SMC blow moulders.

These are permanent roles and all successful candidates will require pre-employment medical checks.

Duties will include:-

• Performing machine start-ups and shutdowns
• Prepare, install, set & run injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding machines
• Competent in mould changes and understand die insert changes
• Adjust and optimise machine controls to required settings for production
• Trouble shooting of injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding machines, materials and dies
• Ensure maintenance is done on moulds, machines and general house keeping in conjunction with the Maintenance Fitter
• Fast response to breakdowns.
• Ensure product is of acceptable quality and in accordance with specifications

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

• A minimum of 2 years experience die-setting in the plastics industry with injection & blow mounding
• Knowledge of injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding
• Have an excellent understanding of polymer materials
• Experience with engineering polymers
• Trouble shooting, fault finding and problem solving capabilities
• An eye for detail
• Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
• Be physically fit and able to do manual handling
• A Forklift Licence is essential
• Ability to adhere to strict OH & S policies and procedures
