Our client located in Kilsyth is seeking a Fabricator/Welder to join their team. They are a well established business who produce and supply parts to various industries including Mining, Shipping and Construction etc.

The role involves melting metal in a furnace and casting with a large ladle. You will be required to operate Lathes and Milling machines along with MIG & ARC welding (can be trained).

Hours of work 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday (Friday finish time 3:00pm).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to develop their career with the potential growth leading to a Production Manager role. There is an excellent remuneration on offer for the right candidate. The commencement salary will depend on experience.

No trade qualifications are necessary (although advantageous) as long as you have solid experience or exposure working in a metal manufacturing environment.

To be considered for this position you will need:-

• A minimum 5 years’ experience in metal manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Attention to detail
• A Forklift licence would be an advantage but not essential
• Excellent communication skills
• A sound understanding of OH&S regulations
