We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter for an Afternoon shift role based in the East/South East  Suburbs.  The role will be working in the Pharmaceutical Industries and will require your proven experience working in an FMCG environment.

This position will undertake a range of mechanical engineering works including shift coverage, assisting with on site projects as well as covering preventative and reactive maintenance on these machines, continuous improvement projects and major equipment projects and repairs.

Duties will include:

• Maintaining plant and equipment in good working order in accordance with work orders
• Carrying out breakdown repairs and maintenance work
• Identifying continuous improvement within equipment to ensure optimum performance
• Updating system ensuring all work reports are properly maintained and logged in a timely manner
• Ensuring GMP compliance, quality and safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Excellent communication skills, ensuring smooth handovers across all shifts
• Team Player, ensuring your strong relationships with all team members.
• Proven experience in an FMCG environment

It is essential that you hold Australian qualifications in a Certificate III or IV in Mechanical Engineering, only candidates that have full working rights can be considered for these roles due to the permanent nature of this work.

Ideally we are seeking Mechanical Fitters  with previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance role within the pharmaceutical or food industry with strong diagnostic and trouble shooting skills and have experience across pneumatics, hydraulics, machining and welding.
