About the role

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join our client’s team in Melbourne’s Bayside & South Eastern Suburbs on day, afternoon or night shift basis. These roles are based in the food industry, maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and reliable production.

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of FOOD production equipment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot  faults
• Liaise with production teams to understand operational requirements and minimise disruptions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures
• Ensure a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety regulations

What we’re looking for

• Qualified Fitter, with 3+ years’ experience in a similar maintenance role, must have a strong food manufacturing industry background
• We have several
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting skills
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with production and maintenance
• Flexible and adaptable to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
