Our client located in Chirnside Park is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for ongoing work. This role Monday to Friday and will commence on day shift 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Duties will include:-

• Responsible for the timely accurate completion of all maintenance and breakdowns
• Ensure that paperwork and documentation is recorded accurately and in accordance with company standards
• Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to ensure optimal running of equipment and machinery
• Checking parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using measuring instruments
• Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
• Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts
• Working in accordance with safety procedures and reporting any hazards
• Perform low voltage electrical disconnect and reconnect electrical installation work (ideally)

Essential Criteria:-

• Trade qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Restricted Electrical licence (ideally)
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Fitter role.
• Ability to follow Safe Operating Procedures
• Abe to perform metal work and welding
• Strong communication skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office (email, Word and Outlook)
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical and machinery breakdowns.
