Job Title: Production Drafter

Employment Type: Full-Time | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

About the Role:

Galaxy Personnel are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Drafter to support our client’s production team in delivering high-quality, accurate drafting work. This role is crucial in ensuring that our production documentation and models meet the needs of fabrication and construction, with a focus on efficiency and precision.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of drafting principles and be proficient in 3D modeling software, particularly AutoCAD and Tekla. This is a hands-on role that requires strong coordination with production teams and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and modify technical drawings, plans, and specifications for production purposes
• Modify 3D CAD and Tekla models to align with production requirements
• Extract and work with NC and DXF files for manufacturing
• Organize and manage production documentation including shop drawings, specifications, and material orders
• Ensure deadlines are consistently met with high standards of accuracy
• Perform data entry, analysis, and reporting using Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of drafting principles and structural detailing
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (AutoCAD and Tekla preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data tracking and reporting
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Experience with structural steel drafting is highly desirable
