Galaxy Personnel is looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist for our client in outer Eastern Suburbs.

The hours on offer are Monday to Thursday 7am – 3:15pm and Friday 7am – 2:30pm.

Key Duties:

• Operating industrial sewing machines (single and double needle)
• Read and interpret orders, patterns and technical drawings
• Cut, assemble and sew fabrics and materials according to product specifications
• Accurately stitch, seam and reinforce
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work with the production and quality control team to achieve production goals

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in industrial sewing industry
• Experience in sewing heavy-duty fabrics
• Experience in cutting fabrics
• Strong attention to detail
• Follow production schedules and instruction
• Good hand eye coordination
• Be physically fit to handle and manoeuvre heavy materials and fabrics regularly
