Maintenance Fitter – Night Shift

Galaxy Personnel is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter for ongoing Night shift with one of our reputable clients in the food manufacturing sector, located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

You’ll join a supportive and safety-focused team in a fast-paced food production environment, where your skills and dedication are truly valued.

About the Role:

As a Night Shift Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently across the production line. This role will start Immediately on Day Shift for approximately 1 week for training Purposes , then transition to Night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance, repair, and servicing of food production machinery
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults efficiently
• Support continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems
• Ensure a preventative maintenance approach is consistently applied
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and quality compliance

What You’ll Bring:

·         Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent)

·         Proven experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environment is a must

·         Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

·         Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

·         MIG, TIG, and stainless-steel welding skills (highly regarded)

·         Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

·         Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role

·         Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
