Galaxy Personnel is a specialist Labour Hire provider of quality Engineering Trades personnel. Our client is seeking an experienced TIG welder to join their team, particularly with strong stainless steel TIG in the manufacturing of various stainless-steel products. The role would be casual with 38 hours per week.

Essential Criteria:-
Proven experience in TIG welding stainless steel products
Experience working with 1.5 mm Stainless Steel
Ability to read Engineering drawings
Ability to work in a team environment as well as unsupervised
Commitment to quality and detail
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Prepared to complete an onsite welding test.
Hours of work 7.30-16.00 Mon-Thurs, 7.30-13.30 Friday. ONLY day shift available.

We currently have multiple roles available for Maintenance Fitters to work across Day & Afternoon shift some of Melbourne’s leading household brands particularly in the Food/Pharmaceutical/Packaging industries. These roles are based across the Melbourne metropolitan area, however we have a large demand in the South/Eastern suburbs which are looking for an immediate start.
Duties will include:
Preventative and Breakdown Maintenance
Solid troubleshooting and fault finding experience required
Proven background in an FMCG environment
TIG Welding an advantage
Installation and Project work opportunities available
Skills and Attributes:
Trade qualification -Cert III or Cert IV in Mechanical Engineering
Welding MIG & TIG advantageous
Pneumatics and Hydraulics an advantage
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Manufacturing setting
Food/Pharma/Packaging background Industry background highly desirable.

Maintenance Fitters – Labour Hire all shifts (South East subs)
Attractive hourly rates of $56-$85 dependant on shift. Roles vary from short term labour hire to temp to perm. Labour Hire roles vary on duration based on the specific client site.
