Our client based in the Outer Eastern suburbs in Melbourne is seeking an experience Service Technician to join their team, the successful candidate will come from a strong Mechanical Fitting background in Packaging.

With a proven history in the servicing, repair and commissioning of new and existing equipment this role will offer you variety, the opportunity to build strong relationships with client and enjoy the variety that a Service Technician role brings.

Your role:

*Attend client sites providing assistance in the diagnostic solutions to machinery issues
*Installation and servicing of new equipment on site
*Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the outcomes of your visit

*Produce timely and detailed service call reports.
*Working in line with company policy and procedure

The role will require your proven experience:

*Mechanical Trade qualifications in Certificate III or Certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering or a Tool Making background
*FMCG knowledge/background
*Read Mechanical Drawings and pneumatic/fluid diagrams
*Machining lathe and mill
*Fabrication skills an advantage
*Background in packaging equipment

Our client located in Lilydale is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for ongoing work. This is on day shift 7:00am to 3:00pm, however will require the flexibility to move to afternoon shift.

Duties will include:-

Responsible for the timely accurate completion of all maintenance and breakdowns
Ensure that paperwork and documentation is recorded accurately and in accordance with company standards
Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to ensure optimal running of equipment and machinery
Checking parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using measuring instruments
Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools
Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines
Overhauling and repairing mechanical parts
Working in accordance with safety procedures and reporting any hazards
Perform low voltage electrical disconnect and reconnect electrical installation work (ideally)
Essential Criteria:-

Trade qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Restricted Electrical licence (ideally)
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Fitter role.
Ability to follow Safe Operating Procedures
Abe to perform metal work and welding
Strong communication skills
Competent with Microsoft Office (email, Word and Outlook)
Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical and machinery breakdowns.
