Galaxy Personnel is currently seeking experienced Project Engineers to join this leading food industry client based in the Northern suburbs. The role requires your proven experience in the Food industry as you will require proven experience in leading the technical side of Capex projects

and coordinating the coordination of all stakeholders across the team to oversee the success of this major installation project.

The role will require your proven experience in delivery of this major project, managing safety, quality, cost and timelines at all stages of project life cycle, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties and responsibilities:

Define the project team, project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Preliminary analysis for projects including building, utilities, services, equipment, and layout
Build the investment project charter and ensure that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
Supervising installation of equipment and be responsible for the budget and scope.
Ensure compliance with standards, local regulations, user requirements specifications
Secure contractors/equipment and labour required to complete the project as required
Contribution of all the stakeholders for project implementation.
Prepare and distribute the project documentation, final report and provide feedback to the Maintenance System.
Provide support and act as a liaison with the steering committee and all the project’s stakeholders.

As this is a project-based role the set tenure is likely to be 4-6 months therefore your immediate availability is required to hit the ground running.

The role

Are you currently seeking a permanent full-time role on Afternoon Shift, we currently seeking an experienced Afternoon shift Maintenance Fitter based in the Northern suburbs working for this leading food manufacturer in their field.

Duties

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of FMCG production equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults
Liaise with production teams to understand operational requirements and minimise disruptions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures
Ensure a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety regulations

What we’re looking for

Qualified Fitter, with 3+ years’ experience in a similar maintenance role, must have a strong food manufacturing industry background
A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Mechanical Fitting is essential
Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with production and maintenance
Commitment to workplace health and safety
