Galaxy Personnel is proud to partner with one of the industry's most respected electrical companies in Melbourne’s East they are seeking a Special Class Electrician with strong industrial experience to step into a hands-on, high-responsibility role within our Electrical Services team. This role is ideal for someone who’s ready to move beyond basic installation work and take ownership of more complex systems, projects, and customer outcomes. Duties:
- Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and modifications on electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
- Deliver end-to-end support across project installations, shutdowns, and preventative maintenance work.
- Work on-site with clients, representing our client with a professional and solution-focused approach.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and PLC wiring diagrams.
- Comply with and champion safety protocols, regulations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and automation specialists to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience, with strong exposure to automation or manufacturing.
- Ability to work autonomously or in a small team on varied customer sites.
- A keen eye for electrical safety, compliance, and system reliability.
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron).
- Exposure to VSDs, control panels, and field instrumentation.
- Understanding of AutoCAD Electrical or other electrical design software.

- Must have steel capped work boots, long work pants and high visual top
