Fitter/CNC Operator- Heavy structural steel
Galaxy Personnel is proud to partner with our client in securing a Fitter/CNC Operator to join their organisation, the role will require your proven experience in cutting-edge CNC technology meets heavy-duty performance. We’re looking for individuals who take pride in problem-solving, machine operation, and delivering high-quality results. If you’re driven, detail-oriented, and ready to make an impact in a high-energy setting. The role is being offered on afternoon shift.
Duties:
- Setting up and manage CNC machines and other equipment to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
- Read and Interpret engineering drawings and requirements and translate them into dimensions for production.
- Choose suitable material and monitor the machining process
- Producing and assembling metal parts and components for engineering equipment
- Using precision measuring instruments and record various stages of production.
- Performing quality control checks on the final workpiece
- Using stock material to process parts in order to fabricate the final products.
- Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic parts
- Conduct regular checks and assessments of the machinery to guarantee functionality.
- Conducting maintenance tasks
- Maintaining health and safety standards
- Occasionally, performing welding of metal parts
Background:
Relevant Vocational or above engineering qualification
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Must be able to work alone while being supported in a small team environment
- Experience working on Peddinghaus XDM630
- Good communication skills are a must both written and verbal
