MAINTENANCE FITTER AFTERNOON SHIFT URGENTLY REQUIRED

Galaxy Personnel is a specialist Labour Hire provider of Trades Personnel within the Manufacturing sector. We currently have positions IMMEDIATELY available for an Afternoon Fitter

The role will require your proven experience in Food, Pharmaceutical or Packaging industries.

Attractive $$$ are on offer for successful candidates, working in a great working environment with a well known household brand located in the South Eastern Suburbs. This position will start IMMEDIATELY on a Casual basis with the potential to lead to PERMANENT for the right candidate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot faults.
• Liaise with production teams to understand operational requirements and minimise disruptions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
• Ensure a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety regulations.

Background and Qualifications:

• Qualified Fitter with a Cert III or Cert IV qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting skills.
• Fabrication TIG an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with production and maintenance.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Proven experience in an FMCG setting
