Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing (South West Victoria)

Full-Time – Day/Shift Work – Competitive Rates

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our growing team within a leading food manufacturing facility in South West Victoria. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring plant reliability through effective preventative maintenance and fast, safe breakdown response.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, packaging lines, and plant services.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
• Diagnose mechanical faults using sound troubleshooting skills and trade knowledge.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and machinery upgrades.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
• Complete maintenance records, documentation, and work orders accurately.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and OH&S requirements.

About You

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent).
• Experience within the food, FMCG, or manufacturing industry preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• A commitment to safety, reliability, and high work standards.
• Flexibility for shift or weekend work as required.
