Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing

Join a leading food manufacturing company as a Maintenance Fitter, where you will be a key player in a small, dedicated maintenance team. These roles would ideally suit Fitters with a proven background in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical industries who are seeking opportunities on fixed day shift. These roles are being offered on a permanent full-time basis or labour hire with the view to perm for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Perform regular preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

·         Quickly identify and repair mechanical faults to keep operations running       smoothly.

·         Address machinery breakdowns and ensure fast recovery with minimal disruption.

·         Work closely with production teams to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.

·         Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs using computerized systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Trade-qualified (Cert III or IV in Mechanical Fitting)

• Expertise in pneumatics and hydraulics
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance of automated systems
• TIG welding advantageous and fabrication experience

• Experience in FMCG
• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings

• Strong problem-solving and proactive maintenance approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Computer literate and familiar with maintenance software
