Maintenance Fitters – Food industry

 Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and safety-conscious Maintenance Fitters to assist with the day-to-day maintenance operations across plant equipment, production machinery, general infrastructure, and building facilities. This position plays a critical role in supporting production continuity, minimising downtime, and ensuring that the workplace is functional, compliant, and safe for all staff.

 Responsibilities

• Adhere to the principles of the Safety Management System.
• Generate, assign and track maintenance and repair requests.
• Conduct preventative maintenance identifying potential issues.
• Diagnose and repair faults in machinery
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, asset records, and compliance documentation.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for equipment improvement.

 Requirements

• Qualified fitter with relevant qualifications
• Experience in food manufacturing is a must
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations.
• Experience and understanding of quality-based management systems (QMS).
• Good understanding of food manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
