Maintenance fitters required All shifts available Galaxy Personnel is a specialist Labour Hire provider of Trades Personnel within the Manufacturing sector. We are seeking experienced Fitters who are keen to work on a Labour Hire basis but with the potential of moving into a permanent role with leading manufacturers in their field. Weather you are looking for ongoing Casual or shift coverage/ADHOC, we have shifts ready for you! To ensure your success you will require a background within the food, pharmaceutical of packaging industries. The role would suit Fitters who are flexible and available on a casual basis. Attractive $$$ are on offer for successful candidates. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot faults.
- Liaise with production teams to understand operational requirements and minimise disruptions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
- Ensure a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Qualified Fitter, with 3+ years' experience with a Cert III or Cert IV qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication.
- Strong mechanical, troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with production and maintenance.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Proven experience in an FMCG setting
