We are looking for a highly capable Senior Projects Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in the financial oversight of major, complex projects delivered across Australia and the Pacific region. This position is office-based and does not require travel to project sites.

This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working across multiple large projects at once, partnering closely with delivery teams, and providing clear financial insight to support sound decision-making. You will be trusted to manage financial performance from project setup through to completion, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and sustainable margins.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading financial management across several high-value, long-term projects at the same time
  • Establishing and maintaining robust systems for budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and cost control
  • Delivering clear, timely financial reports and insights to track performance and identify risks or opportunities
  • Working side-by-side with Project Managers to align financial outcomes with delivery objectives
  • Reviewing supplier pricing and supporting commercial evaluations against approved budgets
  • Assisting with financial inputs for progress claims, milestone payments, and other project documentation
  • Monitoring project margins and profitability through to final completion and retention periods
  • Using enterprise financial and ERP systems to support reporting and communication with the wider group
  • Building strong professional relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, quality, and health and safety requirements
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of systems, processes, and standard practices

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience managing the financial performance of large, multi-stage projects from start to finish
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycles, financial controls, and reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both operational and corporate teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence explaining financial matters to senior audiences
  • A high level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a proactive and engaged team partner
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools
  • Experience in HVAC or similar technical project environments is advantageous, but not essential

If you are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being embedded in project delivery and making a tangible impact on outcomes, we would be interested in learning more about your experience.
