Galaxy Personnel is a specialist provider of Trades Engineering personnel across various industries including food & beverage, manufacturing and workshop environments.

About the role:

We currently have multiple opportunities available for experienced Boilermakers/MIG & TIG Welders across day & afternoon shift with some of Melbourne’s leading brands in the Eastern and South Eastern suburbs.

With attractive hourly rates of $35-$50p.hr dependent on shift, these roles vary from temp-perm or permanent opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

Reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings
MIG & TIG welding
Fabrication & Engineering of components OR production welding
Welding material such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel
About you:

We are looking for hard working, dedicated Welders with a good attitude, strong communication skills and who are available to start ASAP.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated experience in MIG, TIG, Oxy, Arc, Plasma or Stick welding
Welding tickets or qualifications is beneficial but not essential
Stainless steel experience is highly advantageous
Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Available for a Weld Test
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work to tight deadlines
